The Systems & Applications/Fire Lab department is focusing on benchmarking product and system performance.

The Systems & Applications/Fire Lab department is focusing on benchmarking product and system performance. The development of new products and systems for boards, paints, sprays and many other items as a result is the main focus of this department. Once a product is developed the department of Systems & Applications steps in to rigorously test the developed product in a wide variety of applications. The primary focus is fire testing using the different furnaces available both locally in Tisselt and globally. Form these tests standards are created to accompany the different products guaranteeing their performance in a numerous of applications. In many cases does the creation of a new product requires at the development of new system, which of course should be tested in series of applications.

To document all these findings the department of Systems & Applications provides a range IT System tools, databases and knowledge centres to archive the test results.

Technical engineering support is provided both on and off-site to local companies in order to obtain local fire test standards and regulations.

A few projects on which the department of Systems & Applications are currently working on:
  • Overseeing internal fire test facilities in Europe and AP
  • 4 paint programmes
  • Two spray programmes
  • Segment programmes e.g. O&G sprays, boards, penetration seals
  • Project specific programmes e.g. Fehmarn tunnel
  • Duct developments e.g. SLIM&LIGHT system
  • Acoustics programme
  • High Partition Programme
  • PIM / DAM
